Wong Kee Sen: All taste are quite okay, except Penang Fried Kueh Teow, I will be back again.
Caren Por: Awesome variety! Not really authentic but taste is good.
Georg: A good restaurant to have a decent Asian meal, More to drink would be nice, disorganized timing and order of meals.
Fredrik: Great food, good service and tons of food.
James: Ok, Average an Malaysian Restaurant go.
Josh: Very good food & excellent service.
Stevie: Thank you, Nice presentation. Soup can improve!
Nathan Heck: The staff was very welcoming & the service was good, favorite dish of the night was the sweet & sour prawns, Boo yah, Is all I can say. One thing for improvement would be the pictures on the wall, they point really make sense, they are pictures of people, who are obviously not Malaysian eating, Non-Malaysian food does the guy eating, Ice cream have to make that face? otherwise good meal, Dessert was worth the wait, a mango delight, that was much welcomed over the coconut sage cake, way to man “go”.
Stefan: Like it, food was very taste and looks also nice.
Karl Heinz Dietz: 3 dished had room to improve, Soule were excellent (Chicken wings, Almond Prawns, Tofu.) missed fruit juice, also some spicy sauces, cold and windy, and the Mango dessert was good.
Aminata: The plates could be a bit bigger..a bit more spicy , a bit cold.
Claire: I enjoyed some dishes much more than others, the mandarin fish was amazing, cloth napkins would be preferable to the paper, photos in back room are not pleasant at all.
Tom: Food was varied, some dishes were excellent, some missed the marked, Mandarin fish was awesome, Would come back this alone, crab was also tasty.
Eric: Crab is not very appropriate for sharing (whole crab).
Sarah: It was good in general, but the food is a bit sweet, But it was a good experience.
Louise: Way too much Sugar, Not enough vegetables! Way too much oil, it didn’t feel very “fresh”, I would give the rating 5/10 in general, Dessert was the highlight; love it.
Awana Malaysian Restaurant
Phone Number : 62666646
Address : 1124-2 Beijing Xi Lu, near Shanxi Bei Lu, Jingan district, Shanghai, China
Awana serves typical Malaysian cuisine along with a mix of several Thai influenced dishes. Their combination presents a rather coconut fiery combination of curries that are characteristic of fusion based foods. Try their “three flavor duck” and their curry shrimp and you’ll see a combination of both Malaysian and Thai elements. It is a rather unique combination.
